been awhile

it's been such a long time since i wrote. so much has happened. after our last pregnancy episode, john and i found out in May that we are pregnant again. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant, and due on January 23rd, 2008. it's very exciting for us. these ultrasound pictures were taken when i was 11 weeks pregnant. so about a month and a half ago. we go on September 10 to find out the sex of the baby, which i am totally excited for. I personally think it's a boy, but john is convinced it is a girl, so it will be exciting to go in and see who's been right all this time. i don't really care what we have either way, but i am just really excited to find out.

So far, with this pregnancy, things are going a lot better than they were with the last one. With the last baby, I was sick almost every day. This time, in 17 weeks, i have been sick only a handful of times. I feel healthier, and that makes me look more positively at this pregnancy.

The doctor told us at my appointment on Thursday that things are looking good. the heartbeat is strong and the baby is where it should be for how far along i am. that eases the stress i'm feeling a bit. after this next ultrasound, it will ease my mind a lot more. once i see the baby again, and see that he or she is healthy.

that's the important part to me.

So my sister is getting married in 3 weeks...September 8th. it's craziness. and I get to be the pregnant maid of honour. haha. my aunt is making my dress, so i picked out this really nice dress, and she is altering it to make it a maternity dress which is so awesome. I can't wait. I'm just glad that it's not me getting married again. i never want to go through that stress again. this time i just get to sit back and watch it all happen...haha.

so now i will explain the ultrasound pictures. the first one is the whole baby. you probably could have guessed that on your own...haha. the second one is the baby's frog legs. they are SOOO cute! haha. and this last one is of the tummy and arms. if you look closely at the actual ultrasound picture, you can see the baby's fingers. it's SO cool. i wasn't expecting the baby to be that formed when i went, so it was a real surprise, but so awesome all at the same time.

so that's pretty much all my news for now. i'll keep everyone posted on what's going on and how things are progressing!!!
